Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of SRLHD services, including the student portal, all programmes, The Sanctuary, and associated features. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SRLHD website, student portal, or any of our programmes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, enrolled students, and any other persons who access or use SRLHD services.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

These Terms of Use were last updated in September 2026.

Our Services

SRLHD provides online educational programmes in critical thinking, leadership, and human development. Our services include:

AI-Assisted Learning Features

SRLHD uses artificial intelligence to power several learning features including the Challenge gate, Examine dialogue, Reflection coaching, and Debate mode. These features are powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o model.

AI responses are generated dynamically and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation. AI features are provided as educational tools to support your learning, not as a substitute for professional advice.

You agree not to use AI features for any purpose other than your personal learning within the SRLHD programme. You agree not to attempt to extract, replicate, or misuse the AI system prompts or underlying methodology.

Conversations within course AI features are stored to support your learning experience and to improve our platform. The Sanctuary operates under separate and more protective data terms — see Section 08A below.

The Sanctuary — Special Data Terms

The Sanctuary is an AI-guided space for personal reflection and development. It operates under stricter data terms than standard course features.

Sanctuary sessions are not stored by default. Session content is held only in active memory during your session and is not retained on our servers after the session ends, unless you have explicitly opted in to session saving within your Sanctuary settings.

If you opt in to session saving, your sessions are stored securely and are accessible only to you. SRLHD staff and administrators do not have access to your Sanctuary session content.

The Sanctuary is not a therapeutic service, a medical service, or a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis or require urgent support, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service in your country.

The Sanctuary is available to users aged 18 and over only.

Credentials and Certification

Upon successful completion of a programme — including all required assessments, reflections, and learning activities — SRLHD will issue a digital credential confirming your completion.

Credentials are issued in your legal name as registered in your account. You are responsible for ensuring your name is correct before programme completion.

SRLHD credentials are issued by the institution and represent completion of our programmes. They are not government-regulated qualifications unless specifically stated.

Credentials obtained through dishonest means — including plagiarism, unauthorised collaboration, or misuse of AI tools — may be revoked at SRLHD's discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SRLHD and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to SRLHD in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We provide our services on an "as is" basis.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@srlhd.org. Termination does not entitle you to a refund outside of our stated refund policy.

SRLHD may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other students or the institution, or fail to pay applicable fees.

Upon termination, your access to the student portal and course content will be revoked. Data deletion will follow our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SRLHD services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
